Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update

                   Alderholt/ Verwood/ Three Legged Cross and Dorset Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team

We hope you’re all well! It’s been another busy week for the team, so here’s a snapshot of some of the work we’ve been doing to help keep our communities safe:

🦢 Swan rescue
An injured swan was rescued from the road, helping to keep both the animal and road users safe.

🛍️ Supporting Trading Standards
Our NPT supported Trading Standards with checks for counterfeit goods. Numerous items were seized, including illegal vapes. We will continue to patrol the car boot regularly.

🤝 Community engagement at Potterne Park
We held a Community Contact Point at Potterne Park to discuss concerns around anti-social behaviour. It was great to speak with local residents, listen to their concerns and understand the issues that matter to them especially E Bikes

🚲 Illegal e-bike seized
An illegal e-bike was seized in West Moors.

🚶 Visible patrols
Foot patrols were carried out across the Verwood area and Potterne Park, providing a visible policing presence and giving us further opportunities to engage with the community.

🔎 Intelligence gathering
Cross-border intelligence has also been gathered and submitted to support ongoing policing activity.
